These lead reels are about two months old. The Torch reel is about 6 months old. It works great and does not leak. I am stripping down one of my trucks and building a new one. I am going to use Tidweld Reels on it so I don't need these. The lead Reels are insulated but they are Hot all the time so you just unroll and weld. No need to connect them every time. They also swivel out from the truck if needed. I will take 200.00 for lead reels and 200.00 for the torch reel. These prices are firm. If you want to know the value of them, call your LWS. The Torch reel is made by Reel-Craft and it will hold 200'. The lead reels hold about 150' of #2.  I will ship them if you pay shipping. 903-245-6613

Parent - - By Cactusthewelder (*****) Date 01-14-2011 04:53

No man I already got a reelcraft with 150' of goodyear hose on it.  I just wish I had gotten back to you sooner on the lead reels.  I was dealing with a bunch of BS from my company today.

I built my own, if you want I could take some pics and see if I can figure out how to post them on here for you to copy. Was kind of a fun project.

I'll try to get some pics tomorrow in the day light, but you have to promise not to laugh when you see the blue machine behind them. :-)

OK, here are some pictures. I used 3" pipe for the centers but if I had it to do over I would use 4" as I think it bends the lead to tight. I would also shorten them to 10" instead of 12". I'm still working on a lock system as you can see I'm using really cool tracer wire right now. Also when you put your hubs together make sure the bearings are fairly snug as this will help to keep the lead from unrolling to fast. Knock the studs out of the hubs and put them in backward so the smooth heads are toward the leads. I used a flange insulator kit to insulate the bolts on the axle ends, and cut some PE pipe to insulate the whole assembly from the stand. I ran short jumpers from the machine to each reel and bolted the lead to the reel. Each reel is hot but insulated from the truck. Hope this helps. Let me know what you think.

Nevermind the fact that you are posting all of this info on the thread that I am trying to sell on. But it might be best to start another thread in Shop Talk to do this in

Parent - - By Cactusthewelder (*****) Date 01-16-2011 02:17
Credit card ? I suppose it will be ok as long as she can go get cash on it and mail it to me.
Parent - By RonG (****) Date 01-17-2011 16:43
Thats all Siemens will allow is a credit card or PO and Siemens takes 60 days (min) on PO's so I'll have to let it go. Thanks anyway.
