I just got a card in the mail from a Scott Kirby saying he can save welders up to 37% Anybody know anything about him?
Parent - - By Cactusthewelder (*****) Date 02-09-2011 00:47
Never heard of him. If you live in Texas, I have a Lady that will give you a rate you won't beleive. 1mm Dollar GL for 985.00 per year. If you pay in full. If not 365.00 down and 65.00 per month.  You MUST have a Texas address

Wish I had a Texas address, mine is a little over $3000 a year for $1 million coverage. The truck is extra.

Next time your going to be around let me know and I will take you to a B-BQ place that still cooks with real oak. These places around here cook with oven and right at the last they throw a stick of wood and that's what they call bbq. Also they dont cook the water down, more weight more bucks.

BBQ with  ( Oak ) ..???  I'm a pecan wood guy..!!  I think if your oak isn't seasoned just perfect it gives the meat a bitter taste..  Pecan gives it a salty almost sweet taste..

But yes cooking BBQ in an oven should be outlawed in Texas..LOL

  My 2cents worth

I've been watching that show, Diners, Drive-ins and Dives with that guy....Guy and he's been down in Texas several times and some bbq places that have me drooling on myself by the time he's done. Wrote a few names down on paper just in case I ever get down that way!

Oh yeah, this was an insurance post. Less than a grand a year, holy cow!! Wish I had a Texas address! Right at $3000/year up here! With workers comp and a million on my truck in case somebody decides they need some money and pulls out in front of me. Have plenty of ambulance chasing lawyers around here yappin' about in a car wreck with a commercial vehicle......

Amen Cactus... Texas BBQ cook offs is where you need to go... I have dedicated allot of time in cooking BBQ..

I think I'm pretty good but just like welding you may think you are a bad A$$ but then you run into some of those old boys at the cook offs that will blow you away..

BBQ restaurants are just blowing and going.. That cant really make awesome BBQ because they cant afford to put the time and energy that it takes to make great BBQ... It costs too much to do and they would never make money doing it..

I ran into a guy that paid $100 for each of his briskets... He had Wagyu beef brisket.. It tasted unbelievable but who the heck can afford Wagyu beef..!!

Man who started this BBQ topic..??  I love BBQing as much as I love welding..

  Sorry for hijacking this thread..!!

Maybe I will find some pictures of BBQ pits I have made and start a new thread.. LOL

There is a man about 2 miles down the road from me who raises Wagyu. He is also the same man who sells the Briskets, and all the Wagyu beef to all the Grocery stores in Texas. He is also a World Class Bass fisherman. His name is Gary Yamamoto. Look him up and you can see the Beef prices
Parent - - By rcwelding (***) Date 02-11-2011 00:00
I couldn't find any of his prices but $100 for a Wagyu brisket is cheep...  That stuff is crazy expensive..!!
