Where on this web page can you ask someone on the AWS committee questions to settle aurguments between inspectors about interpetations of the D1.1 Code.

I would think AWS monitors this BBS but I have never seen an "Official" respose on anything. I have made some prior posts requesting an AWS response but nothing yet. You may have better luck on the phone. Also the engineering authority for the project may be able to resolve the issue.
