Sages and Mentors, I've come across a kaboodle of 1/16 rod all kept indoors. It probably dates to the 60's and came from a military/government installation.
One package says National Standard 103 COP. It looks to be copper flashed steel.
The other is white flag-tagged 517 and there are no other discernible markings. It too, looks to be copper coated steel.
I can't find those listed anywhere.
I also scored some Oxweld 7 Drawn Iron rod. I think that is RG45 equivalent. Am I right?
Any thoughts or random neural firings would be welcomed. What do I have here?
i have a book from linde published in 1948 with all those old welding rods listed. ill take a look
I have some new info on it:
3439 Linde 65
Is there a new number equivalent?
Thanks in advance.
Sorry, a bit more. That 3439 Linde 65 is for the 103 COP rod. The flag tagged 517 is still a mystery. I suspect its a milspec renumbered.
