I should know, but I've confused myself reading over and over.
Fall of '08 I successfully completed my 9-yr renewal, in the fall of this year 2011, do I just have to do the 3 year renewals just like starting over again?

15.5 SCWI and CWI certification renewals are limited to two consecutive three-year periods. Before the end of the third three-year period, SCWIs and CWIs are required to recertify by complying with Section 16 of this standard

16.3 Before the end of the ninth year from the date of initial certification, and each nine years thereafter, CWIs seeking recertification shall satisfy either 16.3.1 or 16.3.2.

16.8 SCWIs and CWIs who successfully recertify shall be subject to the requirements of Section 15 of this
standard.

With each 9-year renewal, the cycle starts over. You are requalifying as a 3-year renewal.

Best regards - Al
