Parent - - By weldaboy (**) Date 05-29-2011 05:16

I see. I was just curious around here Creason does a lot of the digging for the maintenance crews for Magellan and southern star. I know most of the Company welders for them in KS, thought maybe I knew you LOL.

i do work for creason. but i work outta the oklahoma crew. most of the guys that do that magellan stuff up there work out of the carrollton office. u know that good ol boy in that red ford goin through the creek?
Parent - - By Rig Hand (***) Date 05-29-2011 20:59
I don't think so, Hell they all have red fords with big red cattle guards from what I've seen. Does Creason hire rig welders (welder & rig truck) or just welders to run there trucks? I seen two of there rig trucks last year, one was pulling a blasting trailer (compressor w/ sand pot). Figured they was re-habing somewhere. All of there equipment in very nice from what I've seen.

They do a lot of digging and misc work for magellan around KC. Magellan's welders do all of the re-hab welding in this area tho. I think I've only put on 3 sleeves in 2 years for them and that was because they were in a bind to get them done. 2 of them was in the middle of a creek in the winter

haha doesnt sound like they was in a bind sounds like they wasnt interested... lol ya when i hired on there was only 3 of us welders and we all got in creasons trucks. but here lately weve got so strung out and so busy that weve brought on a bunch of welders that run their own rigs. ya he doesnt mess around with buyin junk. he buys everything new. who do u work for if u dont mind me askin.

I'm a contract welder for Barber Sewer and Ditching. They're only about a 5 to 10 man operation. Don't let the name fool ya tho, they started out 40 years ago doing sewer lines but, now all they do is pipeline. We do a lot of station and tank farm work for magellan. They do some misc work for mappco but none of its welding work.

that one next to the creek was like 60 some feet i think. plus it was coming out of a bend so that made it a little tougher.
