yea to both  OR all three rather:grin:   still in Beebe living in a rent house while my real house is being gutted and rebuilt.  Yea that brutal ugly flatbed is my rig for what it is worth, not slick, but hard and usable.  I got lucky to a point...when I don't have anything going on there is a job shop in LR that wants me there whenever I am free + they sub jobs to me they cannot get to or what have you.   BTW thank you to you guys who have sent work my way...I could not pay the bills if it was not for yall good folks!!!  I am still wrestling with Insurance company's over the right policy so I am limited in what I can go do right now...they are tough on startups.  BUT with the Grace of God I think I about have it ironed out....it should open up a lot of doors for me.   One day at a time, one job at a time is how I am living right now....but I am not complaining, it beats the heck out of the stress of that aircraft job...not knowing one day to the next and having zero control over the outcome!!   I just miss having my home....until it is done and we are back in it...nothing is gonna be right.

Had a nice fourth at my Mom in laws yearly 4th party..$$$$ in fireworks for the kids lots of good BBQ and liberal amounts of personality/panty lubricant...good time all around...everyone went home with all twenty digits no fire dept or police fees or fines....successful endeavor!!

Hope you enjoyed yours as well...the rain up this way did not last long so it was alright.

I would agree Chris I have noticed this trend myself.  Not sure if it has to do with guys are just busy or the trade is dying. I still run across alot of young guys breaking out. I have met alot of great guys on here over the years and I try to get new guys on this forum as well.

I have left the trade but at the moment am unemployed, made some piss poor choices lately but all i can do is keep moving forward. Welding jobs seem to be so dam far away from me at the moment and don't want to move, actually gonna look into a body shop job tomorrow which is close to the house just to keep going until something pops up. Love to weld but I guess not enough to want to move to where the works is. I just thought I'd ask where everyone is seems like things are really dying down lately. I know it will bounce back someday it can't be down forever.

Take care all
Chris

I've noticed less postings on here as well but figure lots are out working. I'm busy in the shop and out and about but shutting the doors for a few days, gotta take a break. But be back at it when I'm done relaxin, try to check in here but with the heat, busy, not wanting to stare at a computer much. You get sick of bombin around the country in a truck? Hope your interview works out.

In my case, half the reason is we've been very busy.

The other half is that it has not all been a good time and some of the folks representing the "other side"  are lurking in the background.

The next half is that it takes longer to be careful about what I type these days.  I want to make sure I don't inadvertently stir up a hornet's nest.

The last half (hey, I never said I was good at fractions) is that once a post gets beyond a certain length, it becomes too time consuming to keep it all straight in my head.  I jump on for entertainment - and to help out now and them - but I don't have time to do more than that.
In fact in 3 minutes it's back to work I go.
