We are quoting a job where we have to tie into and existing glass lined tank. My question is there a product or compound of some type that we can apply to restore the integrity of the liner where we cut and weld the new nozzles on?

Sir,
I have worked as a chemical engineer with glass line steel tanks / reactors, have five patents in welding and been a CWI since 1993. There are many systems of that nature none of which are of the original capability on corrosion protection. What you can do to get glass lined capability is put the unit with the nozzle welding done into a furnace re-glass coat it at about half the cost of a new vessel. That is the beginning of a long story! I hope this is helpful.
Sincerely

Thanks all for the replies, I excluded this service from my quote in the interest of time and it will fall under the owners scope.
