Fun in the "SandBox"

Spent the last 7 weeks bopping around Afghannyland.
The land is so bleak and barren, I had to enhance the fotos to show any detail at all, hence the Martian landscape look.
The drip tube off the AC unit provided the most grass I've seen since I got to this forsaken corner of the planet.
Ramadan has been very busy time al Queda. Makes it hard to enjoy the work when you're getting bombed every day... and night.
If you know anyone serving over here, PLEASE be sure to keep in touch with them. They are going through Hell outside the wire.
Word from home is always welcome regardless of the content or quantity.

Hey John, those are great pictures, as you said though, BARREN....., WOW! I would certainly have a hard time calling that area home or really wanting to. Hope you are keeping your head low when and as required.
