I sometimes do side jobs at my friends engine shop. it is mostly exaust pipes, but i do sometimes move engine mounts. I am confident that I am welding them correctly, and People bust engine mounts all the time with these performance engines (I have never heard of it causing an accident or anything) But, i figure it must be a good idea to get some kind of liability insurance since you never know... how much does insurance like that cost? do i have to jump through 100 loops to get it? The owner of the shop is looking into the same kind of insurance for his side of the buisness... would that cover my liability if he pays me? up till now the customers pay me directly so I don't think any of the liability would fall on his shop even though the work is done there. Thank you for any advice you may have for me.
