It's just sickening to look at that.  The politicians in  Washington really don't care.  They get on TV an spout about how the other political party is driving this country to financial ruin.  When in fact both parties are doing it together.  Nobody in Washington is going to make the hard decisions needed, to turn the countries financial problems around.  Two words that might help the problem --> TERM LIMITS

I've got a bumper sticker that says: "RE-ELECT NOBODY!!!" I've had it on my vehicle since 2006, and I'm constantly getting positive comments regarding the bumper sticker from total strangers especially asking me where they can buy one for their vehicle...:wink::cool:

I usually tell them that they can always make their own because it's been so long ago when I bought the sticker that I couldn't remember where I got it from.:wink::cool:

Respectfully,
Henry

So what if you pay your 47 grand worth of the debt off? No more taxes for life? Someone needs to look into this, it would be tight for a while but worth it in the end.
If you give them 50 grand can you get a sticker that tells the police to bugger off over things like out tail lights and other revenue tickets??? Or is that too close to bribery?

Trouble is the amount(last time I looked) was 131K per tax payer....do you still want to pay off your share?....LOL

The problem that I would have with paying off "my share" of this debt is that I didn't run up that tab that far....I paid the taxes that I owed every year that I have worked. I didn't spend 730B to bail out defaulting companies, nor the 450B that they want for this next one. I don't have huge credit cards run up to the max like Washington has done. If you look at those numbers Washington has a debt/income ratio of 98.6%...what bank would lend you money with that kind of debt/income ratio?...yet the Washington is borrowing $0.47 of every dollar they spend.

We have a "Pay As You Go" tax system.

The Govt. does not have a "Spend As You Get It" system.
