We have had reports and sightings of Large Cats in my area recently. I think I have found where my Pond Ducks went. I have a 160lbs Rott and HIS feet are not that big !!

Perhaps they DIDN'T catch all the critters that guy turned loose in Ohio...

They are getting pretty common up here too. My wife took pictures of tracks on the playground at the elementary school where she works. Official word from game warden was it was a dog. But there were eye witnesses that saw it. There have been a couple hit on the interstate on the outskirts of Omaha and one was shot by police in Sioux City.

From what I've read, all the old Mountain Men who lived off what they could catch, said that Puma meat is the best, seconded only to Buffalo tounge.

Looks like a big boy! I have been watching a bobcat early in the mornings on my place. I have been putting seed out for the quail so he has been stopping by for breakfast.
Put a game cam up, I'd like to see a pic of that guy!

With any luck, I will show you a close up this weekend. My Brother and I are putting out Chickens and Chicken Blood Bait. We both have AR's with Night Vision

Even better! I've never shot a lion. Hit one in a Peterbilt once... there was nothing left to make a rug with.

There have been reports of suspicious black cats in the mountains south of Tucson. Never seen one in the wild myself. That would sure be a trophy! Good luck Cactus I hope you bag him!

About 3 weeks ago we had a picture in te Local paper of a Black Cat. A woman about 5 miles down the road from me looked out her window and saw it. She took a picture. Her husband was ask about it and he was pissed off the she didn't shoot it because they are both avid hunters and she knew how to handle a gun.

About two weeks ago somebody clobbered one with their car, believe it was a cougar....mountain lion...ok, I don't know. Big dang cat, dead in the road with cops all around it. It was about 20 minutes north of Nashville.

We will have to see what next year brings. I would have better luck putting in out of state in Colo or NM than here! Only thing I have killed lately is coyotes, jack rabbits and targets.

I just bought a hound pup so that I can get back into treeing game. Ive been out of it for a few years. While running the roads and chasing jobs it was just too hard to stay in it. Now that Im home all of the time and we have the ranch going good I have time. This pup is out of some good lion and bobcat hounds. I will mainly be hunting for hides. Coon and bobcat mostly, but I will be rolling him over onto lions when he gets older. My friend, the guy I got him from guides lion hunts and has pretty good success. If anyone is interested in going on a Wyoming mountain lion hunt just let me know. You will be guaranteed to have fun. Cant always guarantee a lion, but Dave, my friend, is dang good at what he does. A little.later on when the temps drop and the hides get prime, Im going to be picking up an older dog to start taking some pelts and train the pup Ive got plus another one we are getting. If any of yall have some time and want to, give me a shout and we'll go tree something. Or if you want to book a lion hunt let me know.

Have a great day.
Tex

I remember when some guy that kept a bunch of wild cats and a few bears up in Greenbrier/Damascus area went nuts and let em all loose.  I think the state was going to shut him down and he just flaked out and opened up the pens.   On the radio the game and fish said anyone with a hunting license was allowed up there to bag em day or night.  Can you imagine the rodeo that started?

Good luck Cactus....be cool as can be to see a pic of that thing strung up with ya standing beside it.   I just want to know one thing, are you gonna gut/skin and take it too the local oriental place to cook it up for ya?
