Does anyone know where I can find material properties (tensile, yield, shear) for 308 filler wire? I am a defense contractor and have a caveat, I need to pull this information from a government approved/accepted source. I've searched everywhere with no luck.

Any help at all would be greatly appreciated.

Something like this?

Whoever is providing your filler metals should have this information, and as a direct military contractor I would be shocked if they diddn't drop everything they were doing to please you.

Please keep in mind that the data on the Hobart link is specific to the brand listed on the sheet.

It is not generic..

It only applies to that specific product, not to the alloy group in general terms.

The top one is MATWEB, which is a well-known and often-used tool for process engineers.  The bottom one is assist, which gives you free access to almost any fed/mil spec there is.  Good luck.
