Hi:

Below is a part I’m welding and I’m looking for input/advice to see if the results can be improved in any way. I've provided the steel specs in use and the welding equipment.

Weld Process:

GMAW-P Spray

Equipment:

FANUC System R-J3Ib

FANUC M-6iB Robot

Miller Autoinvision

Tregaskiss 500 AMP Torch

Tregaskiss 401-6-62 Nozzle. 5/8 Bore, 1/8 Recess, Copper

ER 70S-6 .035 Wire

90%-10% Argon-CO2 (40CFH)

Weld Parameters:

I do not have a M60 programmer for the autoinvision so the unit came from the build house with the standard weld program #3.

Screen shot of the teach pendent:

Coordinating the travel speed of the robot in a circular motion along with the IPM of the wire feed I’d like to get some opinions and any improvements I can make. If I missed any information you need let me know.

Any input is appreciated.

Jrank,

What can you adjust on your welding parameters? If I am reading those values right they look messed up for .035” wire, but I am not that familiar with robotics. I might be totally off base but those settings looks closer to setting for .045” wire or maybe .052” wire (voltage 35v with 320IPM).
