Does anybody have a good resource on traditional styling of the old Williamsburg wrought iron? I'm trying to get an idea of what they used as far as circles, scrolls etc. I've found books on English wrought iron, French but not sure where the Williamsburg stuff falls in there. Almost need a degree in art or design! I've searched Yahoo will few results, usually something in Williamsburg or something unrelated to what I need.

I'm not looking for a design to copy but want to see how things flowed, rolls, twists and so on that made it the Williamsburg style. Thanks for any info, will keep looking.

Thanks Dave, posted something over there. Luckily I've dealt with this client before so he's in no hurry while I educate myself!

If ya wanna drool over a true master's work look up Samuel Yellin. http://www.samuelyellin.com/
If only I had unlimited time and finances....
Screw a buncha pipe and handrails for the common masses.
Vanderbilts, Rockerfellers... and names we mere mortals would not even recognize.

There is inspiration that can be incorporated into small projects.

Thanks John, very nice. I like the handrail over there with the scrolls and bronze.
