Emory cloth or stainles steel wool works like a charm
The stainless shop I worked at for awhile, would use scotch brite pad and windex, for stainless that has a grain to it.
I cleaned the one I had welding single hand with mild stainless steel sink cleaner from the grocery store. Worked good, you don't need to scrub hard (just lightly) on the polished pieces but you make a paste out of it and apply it with a sponge and let it sit for a minute then rinse it off. Looks good as new. Just how I did it.
what about the rust streaks from the steel captured nuts that Lincoln uses?
I am replacing them with stainless this weekend. You'd think they would be stainless from the factory
where are you sourcing the correct stainless captured nuts?
Got a place in Shreveport that's a nut and bolt supply it's all they sell.

There is a scrubbing powder called "Bar Keeper's Friend" that works great on stainless.
If the surface is abrasive brushed, stay WITH the grain.
Scotchbrite and BKF work well on brush finished material, or BKF and a rag for polished stainless.
