This question is to anyone who owns one of these machines. It has hi-frequency start for TIG. If you flip the switch to set it for stick, does this disable HF start, or is HF start a seperate switch? I'm just curious if you can use the HF start rather than scratch start with stick (seems like it would be a nice feature, I know the HTP Invertig200 supports this because it mentions it in the manual). Please post if you know the answer.

Thx,
Dave

HF will be disabled.
You don't need this for STICK electrodes !
It is very easy to strike an arc with an electrode if the open circuit voltage of the machine is above 60 Volts. This is not a problem for the ESAB machine.
