We had a really nice afternoon.

My outboard was purchased by my father *used* in 1958, so the first start in the spring is always a bit of a worry. But no problems... 1st pull performance! It's an old Gayle 2 stroke sold by Monkey Wards and really skoots my little 12' aluminum boat up the river!

I was targeting Northerns but diddn't get even one of those... But the Cats were biting.

I had an old Ted Williams, I think Sears sold them, and it was a heck of a little engine. It took a long time to warm up, but once it did, just one pull of the cord was all it took. I had it on a 14 ft V bottom Al boat. That thing took me all over Lake Conroe. I am glad you had a great day out fishing. As they say; "A bad day fishing beats a good day at work any day".

Nice catch Lawrence!!! You ain't kidding about spring. My cherry blossom and bradford pear have both blossomed and gone already!

And right in the middle of all those blossoms...we had a foot of snow last Sunday, 3/18/2012. Sure to have hit a lot of the fruit trees. All gone now and back into the mid 60's to low 70's. That's the hill country of AZ for you. Any most you guys thought all we got was sunshine out here. In fact, on the inspection job I am on SW of Phoenix, it has been in the mid 80's.
