man thats a newer welder then a 78.its like a 80's or early 90's model.probably a good machine just saying its a little off on the yr model

Our shop did rebuild this in July 2007, we married 2 machines together. Don't know about its life since then.

ARMATURES AND COILS HAVE BEEN OHMED. REBUILT ENGINE TO INCLUDE: EXHAUST VALVES, GUIDES, SPRING SHIMS, PISTONS, RINGS, ROD BEARINGS, MAIN BEARINGS, CAM BEARINGS, PIN BUSHINGS, HEAD SET, FRONT END AND OIL PAN SET, OIL PUMP, SPEED SLEEVE, FREEZE PLUG KIT, AND TIMING SET. VALVE JOBBORE BLOCK 020, GRIND CRANK 010-010, RECON RODS, RESURFACE HEAD AND MANIFOLD. SAFETY GAUGE AND HOUR METER INSTALLATION. REMOTE CONTROL PIGTAIL INSTALLATION. REPLACED DISTRIBUTOR WITH ELECTRONIC IGNITION. REPLACE OIL BATH WITH K & N BUT SHIP OIL BATH WITH MACHINE TO CUSTOMER. EXTRA BRUSH SET AND CABLE LUGS PROVIDED FOR CUSTOMER. LOAD AND WELD TESTED. CHECKED OCV AND OUTPUT.
