Can anyone on the list help with some info on annealing grade 304 stainless tubing? We have a couple of little jobs where we require some tight bends in 1/2" tubing and I'm after an "in shop" method to anneal the tubes.
Any info would be appreciated.
Regards Andrew.

I don’t know why you want to anneal stainless steel.
It’s not common to do that. In some cases may stress relieving annealing in relatively low temperature and long time comparing to carbon steel.
Roughly saying heating of stainless steel between 400C to 800C cause chromium carbides that weaken corrosion resistance.
