probably will be another decade before it's practical, I could already see it taking over the much more expensive laser diode vision systems for automated welding.

I remember when the University of Toronto was doing the fundamental research on this system of visual enhancement and it's good to see that they have advanced it to the point where they now have an advanced multi-sponsored Lab with the name "EyeTap" Personal Imaging Lab no less!!!

I also remember coming up with an similar idea back in the eighties!:grin::wink::cool:
