We can assume a modified one wouldn't work, as I recall we made one a while back for something, bought a 5$ import from auto parts store, cut it off with chop saw and welded the ends in a 1 1/2 pipe I think, something similar to this. I stuck long extension in the drive end in reverse to true it.

We made some up like Sberry did for tightening leak clamp bolts. They work good and you can make them as deep as you need to.
