Goretex raingear by Watershed if you are management/inspecting.  Try www.gemplers.com  for a source on it.  Very flexible, washable, etc.  Not cheap.

Grundens raingear if you are working. HEAVY duty.

I've got some froggs toggs I bought at our big flea market. They are light weight and keep you dry. I've had some rain gear that after 20 minutes in the driving rain you are feeling the damp working thru. Not with the Frogg Toggs, stay dry as a popcorn fart!!! Not the best for welding though, will burn thru if ol' sparky gets on them.

Like Cactus said, if it's raining get in the truck!

Here's a link,

Quarter mile walk in a driving rain, to hull shop inspections, isn't much fun.

I'm suprised they don't furnish you a covered golf cart!  For that kind of use I would defeinitely use the Gore-Tex gear made by Watershed.

SMT, I hear you, but shipyards are usually the type of place were the only folks that get to travel inside with Golf carts are VIP's only, unless he's working @ Newport News. And they want you to buy your own of almost everything.

Respectfully,
Henry
