Just was wondering what you fellas recommend for fenders on a welding bed and if anybody had pictures of some cool ones ?

I custom rolled mine out of four inch flat sheet metal.  Then stuck it in the radius that I cut on the bed.  I then cut a one inch ring of that same radius and then in half to form the lip.  I didnt like the ones made from long radius 90s and I didnt like the ones made for trailer fenders so I made my own.  Hope that helps.

Yeah I found some extra long radius 6 inch 45 s they are to big and those bought fenders are just to light weight

I have not reached that point in the build of my bed yet. If I'm not busy I'm sitting on the money waiting for the next job.

Forgot to type the rest...

Thinking about doing my fenders like hillbilly did, build them myself but don't want the standard rolled fenders I guess. Guess those are going to be my excuse to buy an english wheel!

Made mine out of a 36" pipe cap

I like flat rolled out then sliced on an angle.  Like take a 4" flat, roll it, then at the top start at 4" (or whatever) and taper down to 2" or one.   Course that only works if you have a good flat side to work from and attach to...if the bed side is curved it takes some real layout skill.   You can make a good looking fender/wheel well with a large vise and a hammer, provided you want to.   Cupping is hard to do by hand but that is where slicing a taper into a rolled piece comes in.

Post some pics when you figure out what you want to do.

I like the look of the temp. one's you have on now.  They look clean and neat.

They are so thin they usually get bumped just a little then they are bent and when you put the time in on these beds when that happens it will make you sick to your stomach

Mine are close to what you have now but 1/4" thick and more curve coming down over the tire I stilll need to move them in and fill gaps up
