Ross, John, SOMEONE!!

Okay, now this is getting ridiculous.  Every time I try to use them it totally wipes out my typing and goes back to a previous page.

I've tried posting this twice now with an example but it wipes out my examples.

Did our last forum update change something?  I can't use the 'alt' 248, 167, etc functions anymore.

Not so patiently waiting,

Have a Great Day,  Brent

Thanks,  That means...... Oh great, New Computer Time!!??  I hate change.  I'm starting to see lot's of little things not functioning as they should.

Oh well, it has lasted me for 5 years now.  Not bad for a cheap HP laptop that's been carried all over the country, literally.

Merry Christmas John.

My newest version of IE does that to me, with the older version I never had any trouble. It is probably just the browser you are using.

Possible an update I got recently did it.  I haven't changed anything other than with updates.  Same computer, same operating system, same browser, that's me...same, same, same.  I HATE change.  Takes too long for me to learn new things.

Oh well.  Now my geek son will be happy.  He'll get to set me up a new system.  Maybe.

Have a Great Day,  Brent

Thanks Glyn.  A whole bunch of wise guys around here.

But it is nice to know people are willing to help and it does confirm that it is on my end.

There is never a shortage of people in my life who are willing to inform me that problems are my fault.

Brent, try 'Alt + 01456' on the num pad. I take it you use IE as your browser?

Noope,  that isn't working either.  I'm going to get together with my geek son this weekend and see what I can figure out.  It doesn't work on my reports with Word or Excell either.  But, on excell at least I have the symbols function attachment ability.

Thanks for trying.

Guess not.  Don't remember having to do anything with that before.  Thank you very much.  I'll probably forget by the next time I need it.  Maybe if I took a computer class every semester...

I'll have to put all this down on a cheat sheet and keep it handy.

LOL Sometimes it is the simplest things that evade us Brent.

At least you do not have to replace a computer.
