Wonder what kind of drop test they've done.

I would REALLY like to have one.  They quoted a hefty price for it.  I don't know of any reviews on it yet.

Anybody have an idea on the price range for this?

I have to get three quotes before I purchase anything over 10K. Those ranged from 14ish to 19K.

I have two. Got them a couple months ago. Seem to to be very good quality. Owners manual is terrible. Have scheduled a rep to come in next month for some Q&A/training. Going to lend one to the boiler maintenance group to see if there is a fit within that group. Other than that, all I can say is it does what it says it can do. Well built. Very pricy. I'll know more in a couple months.

I will add one more thing. Main reason for purchase. To help support inspectors with internal politics. When something fails visually there seems to be an attack on the individual inspector. That he/she is using their opinions rather than fact for rejecting welds. This tool allows for inputting data that appears on screen as go/no-go (green border/red border). Welder stands there, sees screen turn red. Can't really argue anymore or ask the inspector how many welds they have ever made in their career. They can do more than that, but that's why I bought them.

$30,000 for two with tax. Don't have the invoice in front of me but it was a few pennies under 30K.
