I am looking at drying solutions for my embryonic liquid penetrant program.  I have an OEM spec before me that requires a circulating hot air dryer at 160 deg. F maximum.  I have seen some pretty substantial units, but my operation is very small and would likely require about a 4 ft cubed space for anything I will be doing (not to mention my shop is very small).  So, fellow forum members, where might I get the most of my time in a search?

You can build one or purchase one.

I have one that has been collecting dust for years. It would cost more to ship it than what you would pay to buy one locally.

Thanks Al.  I have an acquaintance who uses a food warmer with a small fan installed.  I guess as long as I use a calibrated thermometer, it should be fine.  I was hoping that there might be a more professional solution out there, but it appears everything is to one extreme or the other!

I used to work at an aerospace company and we would do PT on small parts. What we had was a sheet metal box with a door on the side, a hair dryer screwed into a hole on one end and some type of thermometer (can't remember exactly what type right now). I'm sure with a little experimentation it would work well.
