Anyone know where I can get brushes for a couple of metabo grinders? My local repair guy who specializes in metabo repair says they are no longer available. My two grinders are old,but I was surprised I could no longer get them. One is a model AG 705 and the other is model 8125. Kind of a bummer,to me metabo has outlasted any other brand I have bought. Hate to scrap a good grinder.

I have one as well, same issue. I found a brush that was close and had to file it down to fit the slots. Up and working good now. I got the brushes from Mechanics Tool Service.

Weldwade, is that Mecanics Tool Service out of Tucson,  Arizona? Also do you remember the number of the brush set you got? As far as I can tell my AG 705 and my 8125 take the same size brush, they look identical. Thanks for your help.

I'm stuck in northern Nevada for a few more days. I will check it when I get back to the house.

You can try these folks, lady there is pretty slick, (615) 256-8817, online at, Reevespowertools.com

They do any repairs I got, I typically don't feel like messing with the junk. She might be able to locate brushes, it's worth a call at least. Real good service, good people.

I have had to file brushes to fit before....it is no biggie to take one close and file to fit.  Just don't get crazy on the vice handle.

I agree I hate letting a tool die that has been good to me.

You are the man Glen!!!

That is exactly what mine looks like I will check the part # when I get home.

Yep MTS is in Tucson but with the link Glen shared I bet you can find what your looking for in there. If not I would check locally and see if you can find something close and file fit.
