I've looked around and come up with nothing.  Does anyone have any information on any upcoming PQR/WPS seminars?

Through AWS the only one I know of will probably be presented again at Fab-Tech Chicago this fall.  There may be other organizations doing one before then.

Walter Sperko has a very good course offered through ASME that covers ASME Section IX. If you can work with Section IX, it is an easy transition to AWS.

Walter's course is three days and is very thorough.

You can also look through the archives of Inspection Trends available on-line at the AWS website. There are a series of articles that will walk you through the process. I would send you copies, but they are copyrighted by AWS.

The list of articles is as follows:

2011                April 2011 – Spring •Volume 14 • Number 2

2011                Trends,  January 2011 — Winter • Volume 14 • Number 1

Fall                  Qualifying a WPS by Testing, article for Inspection Trends,
2010          October 2010 — Fall • Volume 13 • Number 4

Summer           Essential vs. Nonessential Variable, article for Inspection Trends,

Spring          What are Welding Procedure Specifications? article for  Inspection

They might be helpful to you.

Thanks Al, I'll download those.  It looks like I need to study for some upcoming work.

99205,

That series was very well done and I learned a lot from them.  They were written by some nondescript guy I have met somewhere.... Oh, yeah, it was that 'Al' guy that hangs around here.

Have a Great Day,  Brent

I should note that some of the entries on the forms are "bogus." They were used for training where the attendees had to find the "errors."
