Specifically talking about working on .125" 5000 series aluminum. I am looking at a Lincoln 175 PRO. How much slower would that be vs a MIG machine with a spool gun?

If you figure the deposition rates with MIG vs. TIG , TIG you could be putting down 2-3 pounds per hr vs 27 plus with mig.

Keep in mind, that the MIG process for Alum. (using spoolgun) welding is much cheaper per welded inch. Also, the spoolgun allows for out-of-position welding. Also, by slightly preheating the base metal you can achieve a nice flat bead.
