Hi All,

I feel a bit puzzled by the Values of Root opening and its two tolerances (i.e. as detailed and as fit-up) in Figure 3.3 of D1.1. Can anyone be so kind to explain more detailed?

For example of my question

What is the maximum acceptable root opening dimensions as detailed, available to designer for Joint configuration B-P1a？Is it 3/16(1/16+1/16+1/16) or 1/8(1/16+1/16) without plusing 1/16 of as fit-up?

ahhh many many times that question has been asked and answered on this forum.

Hi Allen, If you have D1.1 2010 you can go to clause 5.22 and it may help you.
