good afternoon everyone, I had this problem please someone who is faced with this situation?

Referring to bad practices, a coup d'arc (or small weld deposit) to the body of a pipe A106 Gr B particularizing in new construction under the guidelines of ASME B31.3, Without having a material loss above 12.5% of nominal thickness according to the specification.

Heat input? Severely damages this steel?
Is it necessary to change the length of pipe?

If you read the post and follow the links, you will find an excellent article about this very subject by Brent!

While my article did not deal specifically with piping codes, some of them are actually better worded about how to deal with arc strikes if I recall correctly.

Hopefully some of the piping gurus will chime in with their take on the application of the codes.

Have a Great Day,  Brent
