Like for E7018, if I need to look similar consumable for SAW where can I find this information?

Consider consulting the manufacturer's product catalog or better yet, hire the services of someone that understands welding technology.

I think sometimes electronic communication seems more harsh than intended.

No, sometimes it is better to be and sound direct and mis-understandings are then caught earlier before offence can be caused!

Not to worry. My good friend Milton was concerned that I was being a bit harsh, but there are no hard feelings or bruised egos. It is what it is.  I do get that way when I believe someone is getting in over their head or moving into areas they are ill  prepared for. There are times when it is prudent to hire the expertise needed to get the job done properly.

Hi, for a SAW application, you can use a F7AX classification. For example Lincolnweld 780 Flux with Em12K wire. Those are pretty similar to a 7018 deposit weld. The X is for the impact requirements, you can find this classification in ASME II C.

good luck.

You may use D1.1 as reference for Filler Metal Combinations for Matching Strength (see Table 3.1)
