I have several details where I want to indicate the use of welds as they are shown in Figure 3.5 (AWS D1.1/D1.1M:2010), but I don't see any guidance on how to detail this weld in design documents like those provided in Figure 3.4.

Could someone please point me to a reference with examples or share some tips for how to best communicate these types of prequalified welded connections?
