I may have to do some welding on A-588 plate. I do not know yet what environment it will be in.
Therefore I am trying to cover all tracks. In D1.1 it is a group II steel. I may have to weld with ER80S XXX.
Which 80 series wire will give me the best results, 80 S-D2, or 80S-Ni1? Any suggestions are welcome.
1/4" fillets, and 3/8 chamfers.
