Well, I got to spend the day with my grandson today. He and I went to an open house at a train club that has several miniature steam engines.

Long story short, the little bugger wore grandpa out. Tired or not, we had a great day!

Happy Father's Day to all of you!

Hello;
Sounds like a great day with grandpa. Glad you were able to spend the time with him. Memories like those are hard to come by.

Have a good evening;

Love those small scale "operational"(<--key word) steam engines. My son loved trains when he was small. Thomas the Tank engine was a just another member of our family for many years...he went with us everywhere.

The same here. All four grandsons played for hours with Thomas. They are older now, so the HO trains have taken the lead.

Brings back memories. I used to manufacture large and small boilers for a miniature steam engine company. It's amazing how well steam power can scale down and still be effective.

My nephew used to play train toys when he was a kid.
