Vegas has been plumb flat dead with no pulse since the crash, right now we're at the start of a large, large amount of permitted, fully funded work. Most of it multi year "mega Vegas style" projects but many smaller jobs as well such as shop & mall facelifts/remodels and multiple highway bridges. Plus the structural shop work involved in the above.
Las Vegas is only a step or three behind SoCal for stringent inspection right now, and slowly catching up.
