Up Topic Welding Industry / Technical Discussions / sutable equipment for the electrolytic etch of Hastelloy X

We are trying for D17.2 qulification and the testing that we have done so far has all been positive. The problem is we need to be able to do the section testing in-house hourly per customer reuirements,. It would be insane to attempt to run production without having the in-house abliity to perform the production testing.
Does anyone have leads to where I can find sutable equipment for the electrolytic etching for the production witness specimens.
Or have advise for me.

I know you're looking for Electrolytic etching equipment and info... However, I found this covering Metallography Priniciples and Practices from the ASM:

Here's a nice book for you to go over from ASTM... The 1st link is the table of contents and the second one is the actual book:

Here's a Metallography Forum in case you want to ask the experts:

Another one from Vander Voort:

Here's a link to many companies that offer all sort of metallographic equipment and supplies:

Here's a course coming up in November covering Metallographic Interpretation:

These folks are highly recommended offering free e-seminars of relevant topics and they're located in Ohio:

This is their knowledge section:

And finally, here are links to all sorts of metallographic books:

After this one, Ill stop:

Well this should give you a good start... Enjoy!
