I have a question for anyone familiar with the procedures associated with the FDA regulated industries. My experience is that full 100% circumference video weld inspection is typical to assure full penetration, fit-up etc. I have a vendor who is talking about a new procedure that uses a digital photograph of the start/end of the weld (Plus the areas on either side - not the whole circumference) is the latest technology and that this procedure is faster/cheaper and as effective. Does anyone have experience with this technology or can you point me to someone who does?
