For Brazing, we typically call out AWS C3.4M/3.4 (Specification for Torch Brazing) on our drawings. I have a supplier asking for ASME Section IX (Qualification Standard for Welding and Brazing Procedures, Welders, Brazers, and Welding and Brazing Operators) o be called out instead. I am wondering if there is a simple explanation as to what the difference between the two specifications are. Any information/enlightenment that can provide would be appreciated.
