I have an old Pratt-Whitney blueprint with 2ea. circles in the Tail of the symbol (one inside the other). It is a Surfacing weld. Does anyone know what it means?
Thanks!!

Hmm.

I've worked with Pratt standard practice manuals for many years and that one is not familiar.

It is for sure non-standard as far as AWS A2.4

Is it possible that there is a detail or secondary note those circles are referring to?

Any chance you could include an attachment of it?  Or a pic of the part it applies to?

Wouldn't happen to be a shaft would it?  Surfacing welds to build up either the interior of the opening or exterior of the OD?  With some specific dimensions somewhere that tells you how much weld and a machined finish surface?

Just wondering.

Working on getting the "Notes" section to the blueprint.
Thanks for your help
