FCAW is limited to carbon steel, high strength low alloy steel, and nickel alloys. No aluminum alloys, copper alloys, refractory, or reactive metals.

At least I don't believe any of the metals I excluded can be welded with CO2 shielding, which is what all FCAW uses for the primary shielding.

1 of the kids friends
bought a cheap harbor freight fcaw and asked if it could do aluminum
just wondered if some filler wire I never heard of was out there
