Gents,
Please confirm my thoughts or express your experienced opinions....

We have a 2205 HCL scrubber to be joined to a large C22 ductwork and was planning to use ERNiCrMo-10 filler metal - Alloy 622(GMAW).

I have also heard that these are compatible filler metals.

ERNiCrMo-14 - 686CPT
ERNiCrMo-13 – Nickel 59

Regards,
Robert

Robert,
sounds like your on the right track to me
nicrmo filler will weld most ferrous metals
as far as which one
above my paygrade
but do like the gmaw process for this
sincerely,
Kent

Robert,
Shooting from the hip I'd say NiCrM0-10 is an acceptable choice.
It has a PRE well in excess of 2205. 2205 is usually in the low 30's. 10 is usually around the low 60's.
And it is stabilized with tungsten so you don't have to worry about deleterious nitrides picked up from the 2205.
It also is s a good transition for tensiles.
Don't have CPT results in my head but I'm guessing if you ran a G48 you would be fine with the filler.

Thanks to all who responded!

Used the NiCrMo-10 and qualified our WPS.  Completed scrubber project last month.

Thank you all again,
Robert
