I enjoyed these and was kind of surprised at the quality of the camera work showing the arc.  The first is horizontal welding, the second is flat position.

Interesting that the rod classification was 6010 even in 1942. Lincoln was still using a system of colored spots and rings on the flux covering when I started welding in the late "60's."

That is awesome! My two favorite shows when I was a kid were "Industry on Parade" and "Mr. Wizard". They were a big influence to say the least.

You can actually see the spots on the rods, and cracks in the flux, as well as puddle details.
