In my company we are facing porosity problem.we are storage tank cotracting company.welding method is  is EGW vertical up hill,flat position.filler wire is flux cored one.we manily face herringborn type porosity,can any one advice me regarding this.material is ASTM A 573 GR 70, 37 TO 45 MM thickness

Can you provide some porosity photos, are the porosity on the surface of the welds or inside the welds ? single porosity or multiple porosity? which location do the porosity located? what's classification of the filler metal you used ? what's the purity of the shield gas?   your description is so simple, we are also using the EGW process in tank welding.
