Hello,

I have a WPS qualified by AWS D1.1 and other by AWS D1.5 for SAW using AWS F7A0-EL12, AWS F7A2-EM12K and AWS F7A4-EM12K.Ni1-H8 classification under the specification AWS A5.17 /SFA 5.17 and 5.23.

By one hand F7A0-EL12 and  F7A2-EM12K in A5.17 according with table 1 of the same specification (A5.17) belongs to Medium-Manganese electrodes group, my filler metal and flux provider offer to me EH12K and EH14 High-Manganese electrodes group of the same A5.17 because their don't have availability of the others.

Change the chemical composition and strength? Does this change affect or alterate my WPS qualification? I need modify my WPs and requalify? or not because is the same specification A5.17

The same case happens to me with an ASME WPS, the same question...

Thanks in advance.

PD: Base metal does not change
