Gentlemen,

I posted a question regarding welding SS with GMAW and C 25 gas. I understand the answers to that.

Why can they weld SS using FCAW and straight CO2 and not have problems with corrosion? Do you not
pick up carbon from the gas, or does the flux somehow counter that reaction?
