Hello Everybody, Does anybody have experience in welding Quenched and Tempered AISI 4340 (Hardness around 305 BHN) with Duplex 2205, the combination is like a 14 inch x 90 inch forged shaft  being welded to a 2.5inch thick x 35inch OD / 14inch ID ring which slides into the shaft and welded by full penetration. Planning to use ER 312 filler.
My concerns are regarding, preheat,interpass,  post heat and PWHT requirements, keeping in view the Duplex 2205 ring.
