Is there any reference or limit in the ASME code as to how much, if any, heat may be
applied to a vessel in the manufacturing state after stress relief has been performed?
I am refering to a vessel being built to section VIII Div I. As a general rule in the past,
when manufacturing earth moving equipment, 800 degrees was the limit I was given.
Any thoughts??
