I am a hobby welder and have a question. I recently got contacts, and remember hearing, some time ago that
welding with contacts in is not a good idea. Is there any truth to this? I use a Miller Arc welder
a small Lincoln MIG, and Oxy-Acetylene on my projects.

I think as long as you have the right shade welding lense in your helment you should be ok.
